Area: The Dunn

Trail Name: Trail of Wu (Lookout Saddle Tie)**

Trail Type: Unofficial single-track  Direction: Both  Trail Difficulty: Intermediate Wet: OK

Description:  TDM likes this rig as a climb, heading form the South, as a way to get to Lunch Counter trail. It is too short to be a destination, but a nice little section.

Trail Name: Lunch Counter***

Trail Type: Unofficial  Direction: Both  Difficulty: Intermediate (Steep climbing) Wet: OK

Description: A really cool ridge with a great picnic spot in the meadow up top. Good in either direction, and often done as an out-and-back. Link it with Shout No More and Iris Meadow if coming from the Mac.

Trail Name: Shorter Cut*

Trail Type: Unofficial single-track  Direction: Both  Trail Difficulty: Intermediate Wet: OK

Description: There is not much to recommend this link between roads, but it does allow some loops to form up, particularly connecting Lunch Counter to Tunnel Vision, etc..

Trail Name: Short Cut**

Trail Type: Unofficial single-track  Direction: Both  Trail Difficulty: Intermediate  Wet: OK

Description: Pleasant trail that is over way too soon.

Trail Name: Red House (Ridge Walker)

Trail Type: Unofficial single-track  Direction: ?  Trail Difficulty: ? Wet: ?

Description:  TDM will investigate…it has been a lot of years.

Trail Name: Tunnel Vision***

Trail Type: Unofficial  Direction: Down  Trail Difficulty: Intermediate Wet: sections vary.

Description: Varied, and seemingly different every year, this trail is fast, awkward, flowing, open and/or muddy depending on the year and what section you are riding. TDM consistently enjoys this one, regardless of the situation, but watch out for poison oak!

Trail Name: NW Express***

Trail Type: Unofficial single-track  Direction: Both  Trail Difficulty: Intermediate Wet: OK

Description: Recently logged…is it back? Nice ridge with a couple of hard climbs coming from the east. Current status is unknown by TDM, but he fears the worst.

Trail Name: All About Frank***

Trail Type: Unofficial single-track  Direction: Down Trail Difficulty: Intermediate Wet: OK

Description: This is actually a combination of several sections, including ( from top to bottom) Vince’s Trail, Tango and Cash, and Tin Can (Go Go Girl). Fun riding through recent reprod, the tunnel-like nature of the middle section is really cool. Don’t bother in the summer or the blackberries and poison Oak might take you out, but in the spring this trail is worth your time, particularly because it leads strait into one of the best in the Mac (Chuff’d).

Trail Name: Chuff’d ****

Trail Type: Unofficial  Direction: Primarily down  Difficulty: Intermediate  Wet: OK

Description:  The original version was unusually rocky for the Mac, with tons gap-able micro rolls, and fun roots, as well as a few surprising turns. This was easily one of the most fun trails in the area. Recent logging has altered the deal…it has been rebuilt already, but TDM is not in on the details, as yet.
