Herbert Farm & Natural Area: 1760 SW Herbert Ave: Open-spaced owned by the City of Corvallis that includes native Oak groves, riparian woodland, upland prairies and wetlands. The former agricultural fields are being restored to natural habitats. Future plans include the development of a recreational trail system.

Location: 7 miles west of the town of Alsea on Hwy 34 (location map). Camping is available from 5/1 to 10/31. Sites are reservable. 14 Tent Sites. 13 RV Sites with electrical hook-ups 20/30/50 amp. One yurt and one cabin with electricity and heat but no running water. Water, clean restrooms with flush toilets, and coin operated showers. Operated by Benton County.
