Seasonal considerations: In winter, mile 15.5 to 16.5 (along the river) is often muddy. In the summer, there has been a thick patch of blackberries on about a 25' section of the route east of the single track trail at mile 17.3. The Mudslinger XC Mountain Bike Race is held here annually in April (in 2023, the date is 4/1).
